More details on specific timing for freshmen coming soon, but please mark your calendars. This is an important information evening to prepare for the coming year as a musician at Stoney Creek! Keep up with the SCHS Band Program on their Facebook Group and Website. Also, if it's not on the calendar, mark July 28-Aug 3 for band camp! Students interested in auditioning to earn a spot in a higher group at SCHS should contact Mrs. Staniszewski directly at [email protected]. Additional Playing Opportunities There are several outstanding groups in the area for students to take part in outside of school! These groups will help students continue to develop their musicianship, learn different music, and connect with other local student musicians. Check out each one for their audition timing and requirements for the 24-25 season.
Interested 8th Graders can check out the Central Michigan Summer instrument camps HERE. Supplies As always, it is important to have reeds and other supplies on hand before they run out, especially with performances coming up! Reeds and other necessities can be ordered through A&G by phone or using THIS FORM. Percussionists continuing into band next year should consider purchasing their own mallet pack to start their personal collection of sticks and mallets. Amazon List If you're interested, please see HERE for our new Amazon Wish List. We have a wide range of items to help keep our rehearsals and classroom running smoothly. Thank you SO MUCH to the families who have sent in items from the list. We appreciate your support!!!! Private Lessons There are many professionals in the area who teach privately. Summer is a great time for lessons to keep up with playing and continue to develop personal skills!
