6th Grade Band Concert
Our 6th Grade Spring Concert will be held in the Hart Gym at 7PM on May 8. Students should arrive by 6:30 dressed nicely for the performance. Hart's Alive The 7th and 8th Grade Bands will be performing as a part of Hart's Alive on May 9. We should be going on at 7PM and students can leave once both bands are done playing. They are not required to stay for the entire Hart's Alive event. Both grades should arrive by 6:30 in their polos with black pants, socks, shoes. 7th and 8th Spring Concert Due to a schedule conflict, our 7/8 Concert has been moved to Friday, May 11! We will still be performing at Stoney Creek at 7PM. Combined rehearsals will be held that day as well. We will have a combined rehearsal during 5th hour the day of the concert at Stoney Creek. Chamber Music Night ALL students will be performing at our Annual Chamber Music Night on May 21 at the park in Downtown Rochester. Students will have the chance to sign up for a performance time as we get closer to the event. 8th Grade Students Students continuing with band at Stoney Creek next year are strongly encouraged to start regularly checking the SCHS Band website for updates on information needed for next year including auditions, trips, and marching band. April 28: State Band Festival at Sterling Heights High School (8th Grade ONLY), 3:15 PM
May 8: 6th Grade Spring Concert at Hart, 7PM May 9: Hart's Alive (7th and 8th Grade ONLY) May 11: 7th and 8th Grade Spring Concert at SCHS, 7PM May 21: Chamber Music Night The Rochester Community Schools Foundation, in memory of Jessica K. Rogers, proudly presents: The Detroit Symphony Orchestra Wind and Brass Quintets Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Adams High School Auditorium Musicians from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will be playing two concerts as well as holding master classes. This is a free event! All students of music can bring their instruments to participate in the master classes. The Wind Quintet will perform at 7:00 p.m., followed with master classes for flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn and bassoon. The Brass Quintet will hold master classes for trumpet, French horn, trombone and bass trombone from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and perform at 8:00 p.m. State Band Festival The 8th Grade Band will be performing at Sterling Heights High School at 3:15PM on Saturday, April 28. We'll load the trailer at 1:15 and leave Hart at 1:45. Permission slips and letters went home last week and need to be submitted ASAP.
