6th Grade
What an amazing performance! Our 6th Graders have all grown so much since the beginning of the year! Can you believe that the kids making all of great that music were the same ones who didn't even know how to put their instruments together last September? We're looking forward to the wonderful music they're going to create together in the future. Chamber Music Night Thank you all so much for your support, patience, and flexibility with our first ever Chamber Music Night! This has been an amazing learning experience for both students and teachers. Watching our students work together toward becoming more independent musicians has been absolutely incredible and we're so very glad that they had the opportunity to share their growth and learning. The performances themselves may have been short, but they were the culmination of months of work starting from when Stoney's students created the compositions to rehearsals to Friday's event! We already have quite a list of alterations for next year's to make it a more efficient and enjoyable event, and we're so grateful for the understanding shown as we worked through the logistical challenges of the evening. School Owned Instruments Students using school instruments who are continuing with band in the future should be discussing instrument options for next year including borrowing over the summer and considering ways to permanently obtain an instrument (especially those students playing smaller instruments like flute, clarinet, trumpet, etc). A survey will be shared soon to allow for better planning surrounding our school instruments. Please contact Mrs. Rever-Oberle if you have any questions. Genius Hour All 7th and 8th Grade students need to be narrowing down their Driving Question that they'll be focused on answering over our last several weeks of school.
